AMD's new APU generation, codenamed Picasso seem to be making their way towards the desktop PC platform. The 12 nm refresh of the APU was launched at the beginning of January 2019 for notebooks, and later as a Pro solution. Now there are first photos of these APUS that seem to be released as Ryzen 3 3200.

These specifications are not rather different from the Ryzen 2 2200G, which has a clock frequency of 3.5 GHz and a boost frequency of 3.7 GHz, the internal Vega 8 GPU runs at 1.100 MHz. Meanwhile, TUM_APISAK on Reddit mentions that he has found a benchmark of the Ryzen 3 3200G, where the processor has a base clock of 3.6 GHz and a boost frequency of 3.9 GHz. The GPU would run at a clock frequency of 1,250 MHz. The 3200G would be quadcore APU with four threads.

The move from Zen to 14nm to Zen+ to 12nm brings marginal architectural improvements to cache and memory controllers, but does not impact overall performance as much as the increased clock. A number of photos of this desktop APU have appeared online at Chiphell clearly showing "Ryzen 3 3200", they also show a delid of this APU.
