Philips Releases a big 55in 4k120Hz HDR1000 monitor with included Soundbar for 1299 euros
It's a big one, and pretty much intended for usage with consoles or PC gaming from that lazy couch of yours. The new model is a 55" monitor with a 4k/120Hz panel, DisplayHDR 1000 certificate, three-sided Ambiglow, and a built-in soundbar from Bowers & Wilkins.
These Philips displays utilize high-performance panels to deliver UltraClear, 4K UHD (3840 x 2160) resolution images. This Philips display redraws that screen image of yours up to 120 times per second, effectively faster than a standard display. it is rates 4ms on response time (Grey to grey).
Momentum 558M1RY
The Momentum 558M1RY is based on a 55 inch VA panel designed for TVs as announced earlier at CES. The 4K screen features an edge-lit local dimming backlight with a relatively okay number of 144 dimming zones which bring high peak brightness (maximum 1200 nits).
Color accuracy wise it has been tagged with a color gamut of 95% in the DCI-P3 spectrum, making this a really proper HDR display that also is labeled with a Vesa DisplayHDR1000 tag. The panel has a contrast ratio of 4000:1 and supports variable refresh rate. MMD mentions the monitor is eligible for AMD's FreeSync Premium Pro certificate. The screen has HDMI 2.0 connections and can, therefore, be used in combination with consoles with the maximum resolution of 3840x2160 pixels at a maximum of 60Hz. It is also possible to display a resolution of 2560x1440 pixels with 120Hz via HDMI 2.0.
4k at 120Hz can only be utilized if a displayport 1.4 connection is used. Consoles don't have that connection, so yay for PC gamers. Under that screen, you'll notice a 40W soundbar from Bowers & Wilkins. Two tweeters, two midrange speakers and one bass woofer produce 2.1 sound. You can also connect to it through Bluetooth and use it as a speaker (we heard).
You'll find it in the shop at 1299 euros at the end of this month.

55" 4K 120Hz and FreeSync for 1300€?
This is lovely
Basically all I need in my living room.
Currently have a Samsung 55" 4K 60Hz with 100Mbps LAN interface (a bit slower than the WLAN), slow software full of bloatware and a stupid firmware that defaults to the speakers instead HDMI ARC (my default audio output) every single time I disconnect the bluetooth headphones.

I bet you this screen has terrible ghosting issues like Asus and Acer.

Sorry, what? 55", 4K, maximum 120 Hz? The LG 55B9 OLED costs less than this, has a superior picture quality and as far as I remember, it is also capable of 120 Hz. Who on Earth would chose this over a 55B9? Not to speak of that 120 Hz, however hard the 2 companies try to emphasize that 120 fps thing the fact is that most games in the PS5 reveal ran at 30 fps or maximum 60.
