Philips MMD announcing a new 272B8QJEB 27-inch QHD Monitor

MMD is announcing a new 27-inch QHD Philips monitor designed for the performance-conscious business user. The new 272B8QJEB is the latest in a range of displays combining great viewing comfort, smart ergonomic features and environmentally friendly solutions.

Whatever the industry, quality work has come to depend on high-resolution imaging sources and displays. For this reason, the new 272B8QJEB relies on high-performance, high-density pixel count backlit W-LED panels delivering up to Quad HD 2560x1440 resolution for true CrystalClear images with natural and smooth sRGB colours. The 10-bit display, managed by the internal 12-bit image processor, delivers 1.07 billion colours for richer, more intense images - a significant difference from the 16 million colours produced by traditional 8-bit displays, providing smoother nuances without colour bending.

Rich connectivity makes life better

A full range of connectivity options makes the 272B8QJEB the perfect solution for every business environment. From analogue VGA to digital DVI-Dual Link, DisplayPort 1.2, and HDMI, users have all their bases covered, allowing them to connect the latest devices, as well as providing fast charging for their mobile devices and ensuring fast data transfers of up to 5.0 Gbit/s thanks to SuperSpeed USB 3.0 technology. No space needed for external audio devices thanks to two built-in 2W speakers; alternatively for more privacy as well as quieter operation in the office you may use the easy-to-reach headphone connector. In addition, the convenient space allocated on the stand allows you to place your smartphone and small stationery, to keep the workspace tidy at all times.

Comfortable ergonomics for healthier workplaces

The new 272B8QJEB display combines the paper-like reading experience of EasyRead Mode with the great flexibility of its SmartErgoBase, a special monitor base designed to simplify the adjustment of the display's height, swivel, tilt and rotation angle to suit any individual preference and ergonomic need. It also takes advantage of an advanced IPS display with extra wide viewing angles of 178/178 degrees, meaning that users will enjoy the same ease of viewing both in horizontal and vertical, 90-degree pivot mode. Allowing for a more pleasant and comfortable viewing experience, the new monitor also applies the innovative Flicker-Free technology coupled with the special LowBlue Mode, which reduces potentially eye-damaging shortwave blue light rays produced by LED displays. With less viewing fatigue and better, crisper images, users will be free to focus on their actual work and stay immersed in their preferred business applications for longer times without straining their eyes.

A quality range of displays for productivity

The Philips 272B8QJEB extends a successful line of 27-inches QHD monitors designed for professionals, which also include features for those who need more demanding business solutions. Companies that want to protect their privacy can rely on the 272B7QPTKEB, the first Philips display with a pop-up webcam design. The camera pops up when it's time for meetings and tucks away nicely for security reasons when it is not in use. Moreover, the 272B7QPJEB allows to effectively save energy through the PowerSensor, an integrated sensor that transmits and receives harmless infrared signals to determine if a user is present, and automatically reduces the monitor’s brightness whenever the user moves away, by saving up to 80% of energy. Furthermore, it offers maximised viewing space thanks to the ultra-narrow screen border. And when there is not enough screen space from a single monitor, the DisplayPort output both models are equipped with allows you to configure a series of displays by a daisy chain, either horizontally or vertically thanks to the flexibility of its stand.

Philips 272B8QJEB, with an RRP of £239, will be available in March 2018.
