I want something like this, but with added G-sync, 1ms and 120Hz. I think by the end of this year we should have it.

Unless you have media that really takes advantage of a screen like this, it is awful. Our eyes ARE able to look up and down, y'know. I personally am using a dual monitor setup at work where the monitors are stacked vertically, because I personally find it more productive. I also get quicker navigation with the mouse this way. Doing something productive on this Philips monitor seems like a nightmare to me - long mouse travel distances, things are forced out-of-view, takes up a lot of desk space, and window management becomes a burden. A dual monitor setup (horizontal or vertical) is more practical for productive purposes.
I just don't think this monitor has a "surrounding" view for media either. The screen is so wide that either your vertical view is limited, or, your horizontal view will end up being so wide that you can't see both sides of it. That doesn't sound like an ideal experience to me. This monitor is probably great for racing games and a very very small percentage of movies. That's about it.
I do have to say though, that this is a very good in-between option for those who want something wider than 1 monitor but don't want to deal with bezels, or don't have the money for 3 monitors.
