Philips 328M6FJMB WQHD 144 Hz VA Monitor

Philips will be releasing the 328M6FJMB which is a WQHD (2560x1440) monitor that comes with a 144Hz refresh rate. The panel used is a 31.5” MVA (Multi-Domain Vertical Alignment) model.

That means they are probably using an AU Optronics panel. The monitor is curved at a 1800R bend. Obviously embedded into the VEA protocol is Adaptive-Sync and thus it is AMD FreeSync compatible. The range for that is 48 – 144Hz. It is an 8-bit colour panel  (16.7 million colours), whilst the flicker-free backlight supports a colour gamut of 120% sRGB (100% NTSC). The 328M6FJMB is listed with a 4ms grey to grey response time, a good 3000:1 static contrast ratio, Brightness of 300 cd/m² and 178°/178° viewing angles.

The monitor has VESA mountings at 100x100mm and includes VGA, 2 DP 1.2a ports (supports Adaptive-Sync), HDMI 1.4 and HDMI 2.0 (the HDMI ports may support Adaptive-Sync as well), 3.5mm headphone jack and 3.5mm audio input. 2 x 5W speakers are also provided for audio.
