While many of the top games were first exclusive to consoles, PCs have since become the go-to gaming platform. One thing to keep in mind is that the site only considers registered users. As a result, despite their widespread adoption, smart phones did not make the cut.

Microsoft's system comes in at number five, well below the PlayStation 3's primary rivals.
In spite of being released considerably later than Microsoft's Xbox One and Xbox 360, Sony's third-generation consoles have already amassed more registered users than Microsoft's Xbox One and Xbox 360.
Last but not least, two venerable gadgets continue to rank among 2022's most popular gaming accessories. The Nintendo 3DS and the PlayStation 2 came in last and second-to-last, respectively.
