lol @ people surprised that requirements go up. "OMG OMG OMG, you mean...as time goes on...i need to upgrade my PC?!!! BLASPHEMY! BURN THEM AT THE STAKE!!!"

Surprised? No. Skeptical? Very much so.

Especially since some of these requirements are double that of their last game, based on the same engine.
Now if it were say 6 required and 8 recommended, then yes that I would believe in a heartbeat.

16Gig recommended  and my 9Gig has been treating me well for the past 5 years. Oh well if this becomes common ill have to pickup 16Gig dual channel instead.

it's not the exact same engine. Yes, it may say frostbite, or even frostbite 3 (not sure they say the 3 anymore?) but there are features in Battlefront's engine that were not in BF4's engine

But you're comparing apples and oranges anyways. BF4 is on the PS3 and Xbox 360, which basically stunted the game and required them to cater to lower-end systems. Battlefront, is not on the PS3 and Xbox 360. Before you go: What does console gaming have to do with high requirements on PC?, please just stop, don't ask, as it's really not worth explaining if anyone doesn't understand.

As to people not being surprised? no i'm sorry, you may be skeptical, and i'm not saying you aren't allowed to be, i'm not even saying i'm not skeptical, but if you actually read over this thread, it's: "OMG OMG OMG, you mean...as time goes on...i need to upgrade my PC?!!! BLASPHEMY! BURN THEM AT THE STAKE!!!"
