PC version of 'Grand Theft Auto V' rumored for March release
Executive Brazilian retailer, Nuveem stated that 'Grand Theft Auto V' is expected to be released for the PC on March 12. In an interview with Codigo Fonte; Thiago Diniz, director of digital distribution of games at Nuveem, stated that the PC version of Grand Theft Auto V is expected to be released on March 12.
The interview was picked up by several English-based news outlets but Rockstar Games has made no official response. For the moment the announcement should be treated like a rumor since their had been several unofficial announcements of a PC version of Grand Theft Auto V. Back in August; Chris Evenden, NVIDIA’s Senior Director of Investor Relations, stated that the game may be available for the PC by Fall 2013. Then in October; Dave Thier of Forbes.com stated that the PC version would be available soon but gave no expected date. Grand Theft Auto V was released on September 17 and it has been highly praised by critics as one of the greatest games developed for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. The game generated over $1 billion in three days, beating the previous 15 day record set by Call of Duty: Black Ops II.

I think they are moving it over to PC platform and then porting it down to next gen consoles PS4 and Xbox One.
This would make the most sense as the consoles use X86 as well as PC. Focusing on the PC version would probably yield better results.
Hold up.....

More than likely what'll happen is Rockstar will port up to PC from either the PS3/360 and give the PS4/Xbox One special attention.

Funny you should say that and offtopic (on my part)
I was reading an artical on why the pc isnt getting a the special edition of Tomb Raider, the developers answer was something along the lines of it being to hard, since they're building it from the ground up for the PS4/Xb1.
Lame excuse.

I've been holding out for this pc release. Was hard to resist getting the 360 version, so it better be worth it and optimized for pc.

Me too, also they should get enough time to make it as good as they can instead of announcing release date and then rush it while leaving a lot of bugs and deoptimization (if i can call it).
