Sales of personal computers around the world have remained stagnant in the third quarter of this year. According to industry researcher IDC, the number of PCs delivered is still increasing, although not at the same rate as it was earlier this year.

The global economy grew by 3.9 percent year over year. The second quarter of this year saw a 13.2 percent increase in the number of people employed.

According to IDC, the PC market has grown for the sixth consecutive quarter, but growth has slowed marginally as a result of "component shortages and logistical issues." "After a year of record sales fueled by remote work and home learning, there has been a significant downturn in expenditure," according to IDC research. The number of personal computers delivered in the United States has decreased for the first time since the beginning of the corona pandemic.

Lenovo has the greatest market share in the PC market, according to IDC, with a 23 percent share. HP (22.4 percent), Dell (14.4 percent), Apple (8.3 percent), and ASUS are the next most popular choices (7 percent). Dell was the company that saw the most growth in the most recent quarter when compared to the same period previous year: 26 percent. HP suffered the greatest market share loss, accounting for 5.8 percent.
