Overclock towards 8.0GHz with Core i9-13900K (Raptor Lake) flagship already achieved

Even though the Core i9-13900K has not yet been launched, a considerable overclock has already been accomplished. A monster 8 gigahertz was obtained using liquid nitrogen on just the P-cores with hyperthreading deactivated. A voltage of 1.792 volts was necessary. However, it is unclear which motherboard was utilized.

The highest frequency record is currently held by an AMD FX-8370, which clocks in at an astonishing 8.72 GHz. With an overclocked frequency of 8.61 GHz, Intel's Celeron D352 ranks sixth. So far However, no contemporary Core or Ryzen CPUs have been able to breach the 8 GHz barrier. A few years ago, the Intel Core i9-10900K was the last recent CPU to reach 7.7 GHz. Overclockers are preparing to accomplish overclocks over 8GHz once again with Raptor Lake CPUs like as the Core i9-13900K.

The top-of-the-line Raptor Lake CPU is the Intel Core i9-13900K, which has 24 cores and 32 threads in an 8 P-Core and 16 E-Core arrangement. The CPU is set at 3.0 GHz, with a turbo of 5.8 GHz for a single core and 5.5 GHz for all eight P cores. The CPU has 68 MB of cache and power consumption of 125 W that may be increased to 253 W. With the Intel Core i9-13900K Raptor Lake, which was tested on an unannounced Z790 motherboard, an unnamed overclocker obtained an unusual result. We don't know the name or model of the board's maker or brand, but it will be high-end. The overclocker claimed to have easily reached 8GHz with the 13900K while utilizing LN2 and a voltage of 1.792V.

The overclocker also said that achieving 8 GHz was simple with the 13900K and that even greater speeds would be seen once they are officially released.

Is just that, make a successful run of the bench and turn off. They have a very limited time for the OC of that magnitude.

I was asking rhetorical :p to point out that no ln2 clocking is ever for day use . It is PC dragster pretty much.

This is not my particular hobby or interest, however I can see the attraction but not am afraid the point of making the headlines, the CPU can never be used in this configuration and it means nothing in practical terms, look at the record holder that was a disaster of a CPU for AMD it was so slow Intel felt compelled to do nothing for 9 gens other than raise prices and rake in the money, but thats ok because our CPU hits 8.7ghz but am sorry a celeron can beat it in most benchmarks!
Sorry just dont see the point in wasting time doing this.
"NB"
It now seems Intel are claiming 6ghz for one of the chips out of the box looking at the power consumption of another leak at 350+w for a 5.8 run god alone knows what this will chew if thats the case!
Has netburst returned?
