OCZ Launches Toshiba A19 NAND based Vertex 460A SSD Series

OCZ Storage Solutions announced availability of the new Vertex 460A SATA III SSD series for mainstream users. This line includes all the features and performance specifications of the popular Vertex 460 series, with new enhancements including the use of next generation Toshiba A19 MLC NAND flash and ShieldPlus Warranty.

Hitting shelves this week, Vertex 460A SSDs were designed to provide the very best of both worlds for those seeking high-end performance and accessories at a competitive price point. With the proven OCZ Barefoot 3 controller at its core, Vertex 460A provides performance that stands apart from other solutions with focus on real world metrics such as sustained performance and mixed workloads, all designed to provide a faster, more responsive computing experience.

OCZ Vertex 460A drives are rated for bandwidth performance up to 545MB/s and random I/O performance up to 95,000 IOPS and are available in 120GB, 240GB, and 480GB capacities. Engineered with a priority on reliability and flash-optimized endurance, Vertex 460A SSDs are rated to deliver 20GB of host writes per day for a 3-year warranty, and feature an advanced suite of flash management tools that analyze and dynamically adapt to increasing NAND vulnerabilities as flash cells wear, heightening data integrity and drive life over the long term.

Aside from leading speed and endurance, the Vertex 460A series comes with $55USD worth of accessories including Acronis® True Image™ hard drive cloning software and a 3.5-inch desktop adaptor for fast and easy upgrading as well as OCZ’s new ShieldPlus warranty1 designed to provide peace of mind with an elite worry-free customer service experience, which eliminates all the hassle surrounding traditional support and warranty claims consumers often have to deal with.
