It is possible that Nvidia is working on a new version of its GeForce RTX 2060 video card for release in 2019. However, apart from the addition of 12GB of GDDR6 memory, this new model would be identical.

According to anonymous sources, Nvidia hopes to launch the new RTX 2060 variant by January 2022. According to reports, the company has informed its board partners that, depending on how quickly the new GPUs can be manufactured, they may be able to expect them by the end of this year to be available. Nvidia would release the GeForce RTX 2060 12GB as a result of ongoing chip shortages, which make new video cards difficult to come by and expensive to purchase. It is expected that the deficits will continue into the first half of 2022.

GeForce RTX 2060 with TU-106-300 GPU would once again be available, with 1920 CUDA cores and 120 Tensor cores, in addition to the additional 48 cores required for Ray Tracing. This is supplemented by 12GB of GDDR6 memory, whereas the original RTX 2060 only had 6GB of video memory in its original configuration. The clock speeds of the new variant are still unknown at this time.
