NVIDIA Tweet Indicates New Volume Stock availability for GeForce graphics cards

NVIDIA Tweet Indicates New Volume Stock availability for GeForce graphics cards

One more news-item from the NVIDIA front, the Nvidia team on twitter posted a tweet that suggests there is a large amount of graphics cards (stock) inbound. Which is good news, as prices should come down then.

The tweet shows a photograph of a container ship in which the majority of the containers photoshopped green with Nvidia logos. The photo has the text 'supply run' next to it, which indicates new volume inventories for GeForce videocards. Perhaps with a declining mining GPU demand there finally is some oversupply? that kinda makes sense.

BTW fun fact, if you look at the photo, the containers definitely were colored red before ;)

While I agree that video card shortage and insanely inflated prices because of miners sucked, I think those looking to score one of these should buy direct from NVIDIA if you're going to buy one at all. They have continued to sell them at their msrp, it was just impossible to get one. The retailers however, can suck an egg, even now I go in to my local electronics store and they are selling them at ridiculously inflated prices, they are the ones jacking up the price. I lucked out and just happened to score a 1070ti cheaper then msrp

right now Nvidia's feet are being held to the fire by investors. the non-enthusiast investors are spooked by mining (potential bottoming out), which is ironic as all hell to me.
i bought stock specifically because of ethereum's rise (without mining it) would eventually draw in Nvidia as demand had oversaturated AMD's ability to manufacture.
i have AMD too...bought dirt cheap.

Prices are back to MSRP and stocks available since yesterday.
https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/products/10series/geforce-store/

Prices were always at MSRP at NVs store page, unfortunately whenever they had stocks it would sell out in minutes. This first time I see available stocks for more than a day. But kind of late, new gen may be weeks away, so may not be the best time to buy.

Prices still haven't moved on the retail side, at least in Canada.

It's the same story in the US. The 1080 has come down some but it's still over MSRP on Newegg and the like.
