NVIDIA stops production standard GTX 260

by Hilbert Hagedoorn on: 11/18/2008 10:27 AM | source: | 0 comment(s)

Rumors on the web report that NVIDIA will stop making the standard GeForce GTX 260 model. instead they will be moving forward with the GTX 260 Core 216 model only. The standard GTX 260 had a pretty hard time competing with the Radeon 4870 whereas the Core 216 version, do seem to have a secret or two up their sleeves and compete pretty darn well.

In fact we'll have an article on Core 216 against Radeon HD 4870 1024 Mb tomorrow, where we'll take six Top 10 games do a shootout and tally it up. This information was not confirmed by NVIDIA.
