NVIDIA RTX 4070 Ti could have the performance of an RTX 3090 Ti

NVIDIA RTX 4070 Ti could have the performance of an RTX 3090 Ti

The NVIDIA RTX 4000 graphics cards series launch s getting closer, and the Internet is full of leaks and rumors as usual. The latest card of topic is the RTX 4070 Ti, which could get the same performance as an RTX 3090 Ti.

The most recent Ada Lovelace leak comes from a leaker Kopite7kimi. According to whom, the RTX 4070 Ti will have a full AD104 GPU and will be so powerful that it will be able to compete with today's top card, the RTX 3090 Ti.

The AD104 GPU is supposed to have 7680 CUDA cores or 60 SM units, 30 billion transistors, and up to 160 ROPs. It is constructed on the TSMC N4 node. The RTX 4070 Ti is also expected to include 48MB of L2 cache and 12GB of 21Gbps GDDR6X memory with a 192-bit bus, giving it a maximum bandwidth of 504GB/s.

As I have mentioned before, there is an AD104 SKU with a 400W limit.

It can easily match RTX 3090 Ti.

The RTX 4070 Ti would demand a lot of power, as we've seen rumored with almost every Lovelace (new NVIDIA architecture) leak. Its TDP will be 400 W, which is close to the 450 W of the RTX 3090 Ti. In comparison to the RTX 3090 Ti, which is built on Samsung's 8nm process, the RTX 4070 Ti boasts an additional 1.7 billion transistors due to the more recent manufacturing node, however the Ampere card trails in terms of CUDA cores with 10,752, 24GB GDDR6X @ 21 Gbps, and 384-bit memory interface.

The RTX 4070 Ti should not only match the performance of the RTX 3090 Ti, but it should also be significantly less expensive. The current generations of GPUs clearly outperform their predecessors in terms of performance, but rumors and leaks concerning Lovelace imply that the performance boost might be extremely considerable.

But will it cost less than the current gen of card it matches in performance.
3090ti is what, £1200, so a 4070 needs to cost less and perform better at 4k otherwise its a bit of a pointless purchase over a 3090ti.

Personally I'm not bothered about power draw or heat generation. If they run hot il just improve my loop solution.

Even you're a lost cause. For me anything beyond 150W is felony against environment. I limited TDP of my 2080Ti to 150W, lost only 10% of FPS and power is down from 250W to 150W. Which is 60% max power settings.

I don't think PC gaming is for you, or at least the hardcore enthusiant element of it.
