Nvidia reduces price of regular GeForce GTX 1070

Nvidia reduces price of regular GeForce GTX 1070

With the GeForce GTX 1070 Ti being released/available seems to have the effect of a price reduction for other cards. From the looks of it, the regular GTX 1070 has now dropped towards $329 and $399 for the Founders edition.

NVIDIA did not announce the GTX 1070 price cut, reports techarp, however, you can spot that they cut the price of the GeForce GTX 1070 Founders Edition to just $399. The GeForce GTX 1070 Ti Founders Edition will launch at $449.

We doubt a little that you will see AIB GTX 1070 cards at $329 USD though. I expect it to be more in that 350~375 regions. But who knows.

About time, i have been wanting to upgrade from my 970, nothing wrong with it overal, but i would like the option of a little more oomph on games, Vr ones being the biggest one here as although the 970 runs them fine it does not have any spare power left for supersampling, which improves the VR image somewhat, so if i can get a 1070 for £299 then that would be nice.

To me, this now points to yields being so good for the GP104 chip, that it butthurts to deactivate usable SM's, so the 1070Ti was brought out.
How long before we see the hashrate of the Ti ( and the suddden lack of stock...) ?

Luckily, you'll probably have custom cards from day 1, so i'd jump on the bandwagon, before the miners get their hands on them.
I would think there is a chance this card will be better than Vega at mining unfortunately.

They just want to remove old stockpiles because they will not produce it anymore together with 1080 and hopefuly when they fill their greedy pockets they will lower price of 1070 Ti same ol same ol..

Well... it's how the capitalism work... same with car, TV set etc... etc...

I don't what techarp has been smoking but they better share it with rest of us LoL, as for price cut on GeForce GTX 1070 Founders Edition to just $399 WTF that funny it has always been at that price for some time on Nvidia own site for Founders Edition last I heard was that it was going to drop to $379 but that hasn't happing in fact the 1070 TI got a $20 bump in price BooHoo, but there was time when the GTX 1070 had reach that $329 before the price when thru the roof due mining.
