NVIDIA Preps RTX 3060 8GB, 3070 16GB and RTX 3080 20GB Graphics cards

NVIDIA Preps RTX 3060 8GB, 3070 16GB and RTX 3080 20GB Graphics cards

You're going to be seeing Gigabyte mentioned in a couple of news items today. This news is not perse 'new' as we all know they're coming, but Gigabyte did kind of confirm it.

So for a promotion redeeming Watch Dogs Legion + GeForce NOW bundle, lists out eligible graphics cards eligible for the action. And guess what it mentions? Yep, the RTX 3060 8GB and RTX 3080 20GB Models. As spotted by VIdeocardz:

The product list features GeForce RTX 3060 (S – SUPER?) 8GB model, GeForce RTX 3070 16GB (S- SUPER?) and Geforce RTX 3080 20GB (also labelled S). The GeForce RTX 3080 20GB model is not expected to feature a higher core count than the just-released 10GB model, thus we are unsure if the product code is not final or the card might actually feature 3080 Ti or 3080 SUPER branding.

This spot indeed confirmws what we've been saying for weeks not, there will be a 20GB version of the RTX 2080.

Worth waiting for these cards then, 20gb is very overkill but should mean no bottlenecking in the future depending on how games go.

But will depend on the new price, would assume a jump up to £1000 to £1100 on that 3080, but saves me from having to get a 3090 unless the difference in performance is bigger than we predict

Interesting stuff.
Fingers crossed 3080S is 1000$ or lower at launch.

Wish games would start bundling textures separately - like a tick to check on installation.
Seeing how games get larger and larger while I'm in no need for 4k textures.
Also nice for people who use these instead of Quadros for work and also game.

Who cares? Nvidia and low stock just means everyone is going to be looking until Jan. Oh gee that's nice. Wish I could get one but can't cause they sell out in one second. I guess when they make enough cards for everyone to enjoy, then I'll give a shit.

Sorry I'm bitter about the whole launch. What did they make? 10k cards for the entire world at launch? If that? Jesus. Take care.

I wonder many people will expect these to go for 850, while they're probably going to be over a 1000.
