NVIDIA preps GeForce GTX 750 Ti ?

NVIDIA preps GeForce GTX 750 Ti ?

A report from ChinaDIY says that NVIDIA could be possibly preparing an entry level GeForce 700 Series graphics card, a succesor to the GeForce GTX 650 Ti. If a leak is to be believed, this card may have 960 cores, 32 ROPs, 80 TMUs, a GK106 core clocked at 1033MHz base / 1098MHz boost, 256-bit memory bus and 2GB GDDR5 memory clocked at 6GHz.

Think computers: This card would be known as the GeForce GTX 750 Ti and would be the successor to the GeForce GTX 650 Ti that was released last year. A GPU-Z screenshot was released, which you can see below. In the screenshot you can see that the card has two names, the GeForce GTX 760 SE / 750 Ti. This is the same double-naming that we saw prior to the launch of the GeForce GTX 650 Ti card. The screenshot also shows that the card will have 960 cores, 32 ROPs and 80 TMUs. We can assume the card will be using the GK106 core running at 1033 MHz base and 1098 MHz boost. The card also comes with a 256-bit memory interface with 2 GB of GDDR5 memory. That is a nice boost over the 192-bit interface on almost all of the GK106-based GeForce 600 Series cards.

Given this specs this card would be pretty close to the GeForce GTX 760 with maybe a -5% difference in gaming. Right now the GeForce GTX 760 retails for around $249 so we would expect this card to retail for around $199.

Maybe they don't need one or nvidia is waiting to see what AMD has to offer next month, then we can see Ti version.
