NVIDIA New GTX 1080 Cooler Design Kinda Confirmed

NVIDIA New GTX 1080 Cooler Design Kinda Confirmed

Remember the GeForce GTX cooler photo that appeared a while ago ? Interesting find, as that photo and thus the design might be the real deal. Nvidia today added a background skin to one of the micro-sites, and you probably can recognize a thing or two. Follow me.

Pictures of that aluminium cooler shell appear to be a CNC mill worker who leaked the photos. Now if you look at the GeForce website  then ever since this morning the background skin shows a LOT of similarity eh ? Be sure to check into the announcement Livestream of the NVIDIA GeForce "Pascal" launch event today, we'll have it embedded at Guru3D.com

Check the thumbs, I extrapolated the background skin, rotated it and whoop there it is.

For once I'm really glad I don't use reference design. This looks like a low-poly CG model with facing issues.

I kind of understand why people don't like the new design; it does look a bit more childish IMO...

However, I think these will look soooooo good in the In Win Tòu case I'm currently using. Can't wait :)

Agreed. At least the old reference cooler looked sleek. The new one looks like they dropped the old on in a garbage disposal. Won't matter since I'd put a block on mine and may skip Pascal altogether, but damn that thing is ugly imo

Looks cheap and poorly designed like something from the pound shop that will break the second you try and use it

Just needs multicoloured LEDs now like those 1990s case fans
