Nvidia is Teasing Something To Be Released 29.04.17 - Updated Myth Busted!

Nvidia is Teasing Something To Be Released 29.04.17 - Updated Myth Busted!

On a regional Nvidia facebook page Nvidia is teasing that something is to be announced or released April the 29th, which would be on a Saturday.

The facebook post (Nvidia Italy) also demos a video of polygons in the form of a planet in space or something like that. It is unusual to see hardware released in that timeframe, polygons over a planet. It might be something game stream on a more global scale? Well, there's nothing like a good viral I guess.

Update:

We just got word in, this teaser is not about a product announcement but it merely anteaser for a Southern Europe event slash gathering. And judging from the naming, I'd say chances are fairly high that it is in collaboration with ASUS.

Below the video that went viral.

Something unnecessary - that's for sure. A 1060 TI or something ridiculous. nVidia is notorious for making big splashes and hype for nothing hype worthy.

Does Novidia create hype for mid range products?

They create hype for garbage software like GeForce Experience. You better believe they will hype a piece of hardware as useless as the 1060 "this edition is slightly different".

8800 GTX Ultra 10 year anniversary edition?

Think of the £££..

You mean release a product that requires the user to bake it to get it working, and not fix the issue even knowing about it for the 9000 series release? Maybe Nvidia should give a bake kit away as a free bonus with any new card :).

Why not? AMD does.

Only because it's backed up by a decent price. All well and good hyping Titan XP etc, but what's the point when the people you are advertising to can't afford it? Having a good marque in the card may help sell lesser cards, but it would be like buying a Smart car because it's made by the same company that makes AMG Mecercedes, but personally myself I'd go for the BMW.

This really does make the most sense.

Don't confuse asset+patents value with market cap.

Not market cap, but total enterprise value.
