NVIDIA has unveiled the long-awaited GeForce RTX 4070 graphics card, boasting a competitive starting price of €669 / $599. This new offering is built on the "AD104" silicon, sharing a foundation with the more advanced RTX 4070 Ti, while sporting a scaled-down feature set.

Key specifications include 5,888 CUDA cores, 46 RT cores, 184 Tensor cores, 64 ROPs, and 184 TMUs. Additionally, the card is equipped with 12 GB of high-speed 21 Gbps GDDR6X memory and a 192-bit memory interface. The GeForce RTX 4070 is optimized for gaming at 1440p resolution and high-refresh-rate esports gaming. Notable enhancements include dual video encoding hardware accelerators, an Optical Flow Accelerator, and DLSS 3 Frame Generation technology. The card has a power consumption of 200 W and can be conveniently powered using an 8-pin PCIe power connector, as opposed to the less common 16-pin 12VHPWR.

NVIDIA is permitting early review coverage for select cards priced at MSRP, while the premium overclocked versions will be reviewed on the release date, April 13. Both MSRP and premium cards are set to become available for purchase simultaneously.
