Nvidia has released a new video for its Hairworks middleware that enables developers to simulate and render fur/hair to provide a truly interactive game experience. FYI, the video features some animals from CD Projekt RED's highly anticipated RPG, The Witcher 3.

Spets - NOOO please dont pin hopes on the new consoles, i mean they cant even do full hd at 60fps, all these new features is a big no no. but i understand what you mean with lower end systems being able to run it. if a game had all those features, only those with the highest end system would be playing it

(.)(.) - (boobs???) we need MOAR POWER!!!!!!!!

anyway guys, im off to sleep. see ya all tomorrow

Nice, a mix of old videos allready seen 1000times ( a big laugh with the introduction of demo from Nvidia who have 4years now ) , + ghost + witcher 3 presentation we have allready seen 100 times .... they have not find anything new to show us about Hairworx ?

They better have to got at least the hero of Witcher3 who got his hair who use Hairworx, and not only monster and wolfs this time.

Oh boy! Realistic hair and fur with massive performance hits! Just what I've always wanted in a game.

All I could think when playing Skyrim is "this game would be so much better if there was realistic fur". Now my dreams have become a reality. :bang:

well, if they pay enough perhaps they will use it on the hero. Not everyone wants their game permanently crippled on almost half the gaming gpus out there (see: Batman Arkham origins).

Unless of course there is a nice upfront bonus.

Its optional, why not allow people with better hardware to get the best out of their game?

Seems very strange for a PC gamer to hate on haveing more options for improving the visual quality of a game and its scaling over time.
