NVIDIA GF100 cards will be named GTX 470 and 480
Interesting news, NVIDIA is making a change in the branding of their upcoming GF100 based graphics cards. Initially everybody extected a GTX 360 and GTX 380, but very likely to get away from the massive rebranding stigma the mobile 300 series has, the naming schema has been changed.
In an update from NVIDIA they are now naming the official card names, GeForce GTX 470 en GTX 480:
NVIDIA Fun Fact of the Week: GeForce GTX 480 and GeForce GTX 470 will be the names of the first two GPUs shipped based on our new GF100 chip!
