NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 tested in benchmark; 60% faster than RTX 3090 Ti

In regular tests, we do not know how much quicker the RTX 4090 can be than the RTX 3090 Ti. As it turns out, the card was previously evaluated with the Geekbench CUDA benchmark, with the GPU scoring an fantastic 42K points

This means the RTX 4090 is 1.6x quicker than the RTX 3090 Ti and 1.8x faster than the RTX 3090, that's excluding DLSS etc. That is a vast improvement for just this type of test. We cannot, of course, put this performance into gameplay. NVIDIA's RTX 4090 GPU will be available on October 12th.

But the 3090 was already a ripoff.
Now nvidia is expanding the rip-off to the entire range.

And then there are the prices for Europe...
I just think most people that don't have a lot of spare cash, especially now with the World's recession happening/looming, people are gonna be either sticking with whatever GPU they've got from the previous gen or downgrading from their x80 cards to x60 or x70 for the next gen purchase. For sure NVidia is bound to see less sales of their higher end cards given the world economy....and you know they do need to experience that.....it might mean that future generations of cards beyond the 4000 series will be targeted to be better value. Buying a cheap 2nd hand 3000 series card is probably a good option if they keep an eye on how that market is trending, I don't need to view that so I don't know what the 2nd hand card market is doing now & in the near future for 3000 series cards. Surely there's gonna be some super cheap ex mining cards coming on......if I was in the market I'd probably take a risk on one that was at near stupid low pricing when they all hit the market.

Seriously, don't say "it's a crap" or "wow i will get everything in ultra at 100fps in in 8K"...
The only fact is info from NV and so it could be not so... you know... as always...
So if i were you i would wait that the card is tested correctely in order to have real fact.
Don't be lambs that follow the hype :)

I was expecting a 90/100% performance increase compared to the 3090.

If the performance difference between gens is bellow 80%, then i`m going to be very disappointed with the 4000 series.

/facepalm

Wait for actual game benches, but I do find it curious though? leaking performance numbers from something it really should be excellent in over last gen, but not showing 100% uplift at extra 100w? 350w to 450w. Might suggest actual game performance isn't the same without DLSS 3.0 active.

People like to belittle things that are out of their reach, financially or otherwise.
