Nvidia GeForce GTX 960 Reference Photo

Nvidia GeForce GTX 960 Reference Photo

From the looks of it Nvidia will indeed launch the geForce GTX 960 next week. Last week a GPU photo of the Gm206 already surfaced on the web, today it is the reference design. The manufacturer is a well known one so we shopped the logo out of there for now.

Nvidia's Geforce GTX 960 is expected to launch at the 22nd of this month. There are no clear numbers on the shader count, though we do know it'll get a 128-bit wide memory bus and it armed with 2GB 6 Gbps memory in the first launch wave of the products. 4Gb product are expected in a later phase. Anyway here is that photo, as you can see the cooler seems to be similar to that of the reference GTX 760 series (view here).

However with a die size half/third less of the GM204, expect roughly half the number of shader processors as well. So that would be in the 1024 to 1280 SP range. Below a comparison, to the left the GM204 and to the right the GM206.

I like how it's low spec'd. Devs won't go full throttle on the graphics and I will be able to pull 120FPS @ 1440p :wanker:
