I'll be using a single monitor (not sure what yet).
Im building this rig as an overhead for star citizen which comes out in two years, so i thought I should go kinda crazy with the 770 even though as you said its a bit much instead of going with the 780.
Would you have any idea when the time frame for the drop in price would be? Because if its in Q1 or Q4 of next year im worried that other GPU's that would have competed with the 770 SLI would come out and make me have to completely upgrade the single 780.

I would expect a drop in price to be depending on how well AMD will do with the HD9000 series (Q4?). Failing that it will happen when Nvidia releases the GTX800 series.

One of the concerns I've been hearing is that the EVGA gtx 770 might not fit in the case. Would it fit in this one?

Who told you that the 800D is a huge case and the 770 is not a very big card.

That's quite something you're planning there, what monitor are you going to use? A this kind of horsepower isn't really needed if you're planning on gaming on a normal 1080 monitor.
All the videocards you list are good cards. I myself would opt for one 780 though, and add another one when they get cheaper.
