NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Reference PCB Photos
Well, that didn't take long. Videocardz leaked the GeForce GTX 1080 PCB photos. The NVIDIA PG413 board is equipped with 5+1 power phases.
The PCB is 6-phase VRM / DrMOS and the green gobler 16 nm GP104 ASIC appears to be doing well. You can see the eight 8 Gbit GDDR5X memory chips. There’s just one 8pin power connector, but NVIDIA made room for additional power connector in case AIBs want to modify reference board. Have a peek at the screenshots, courtesy of Videocardz.

From what I understand from the article www guru3d com news-story geforce-gtx-1070-1080-founders-edition-explained html (sorry can't link yet) is that the reference model is the founders edition. The stock cooler on the reference card is the vapor chamber one. The card pictured here is indeed both the reference card and founders edition because they are the same card. There is only 1 SKU not seperate ones. There isn't such a thing as a non founders edition with a non vapor cooler unless you are talking about an AIB's card.
If I'm wrong maybe I misunderstood the article, but I could not find any information pertaining to a reference card with a non vapor cooler nor one with a different SKU.
its so funny how most people still dont know the difference between the cooler on the reference model and the founders edition (vapor chamber), and even apply the higher price of the later, to above product, which is just the reference (non founders) edition running a stock (non vapor) cooler...
Hmm... never heard of a vapor chamber cooler on the founder's edition... do you have a link per chance?

I would think it is close to the 7xx series coolers. But then again these cards will have lower tdp for sure. So it will be effective. For my case blower style cooler is a really good choice also since I have RV01 Raven.
