NVIDIA Fits GeForce RTX 4080 with updated AD103-301 SKU
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 graphics cards receive a newer GPU SKU, which changes the requirement for PCB design and is expected to lower manufacturing costs.
To date, the AD103-300-A1 SKU has been distributed by the company to power GeForce RTX 4080 graphics cards. A new AD103-301 SKU will, however, be used to power the RTX 4080 cards the company intends to ship to its AIBs and possibly use in the reference design. The GPU performance and power envelope should remain unchanged with the 301 update. The ‘251’ GPU will enter mass production a few weeks after ‘250’, and it will require ‘a few less components’, claims our source. In the end this should lower the cost of the GPU, but not significantly.

So maybe instead of $12-1600 the new version will cost $11-1500? Awesome can't wait.

I've read on another site that the estimated cost reduction is 1$/gpu. So the MSRP for customers will not change... But that dollar adds up when you sell many GPUs. Jensen needs new spatulas lol.

What about the 4090? Still going to be $2000? 4090Ti to be $4000?
Keep doing it Nvidia and you will see how your marketshare drops. There is no reason to buy either of them right now and until AMD has something that can compete, you probably have something faster and cost even more which nobody needs. Good luck

Its already for sale on a few models, Palit and Gainward Phantom for 1350e so about 50-100 cheaper.
PCB is the one from 4070ti.
Does this means that the "new" 4080s are smaller than the other ones or are they still using the same gigantic coolers as before?
