NVIDIA Delays RTX 3080 Founders Edition Reviews, and shares GeForce RTX 3070 launch date

NVIDIA posted an update on its website. The GeForce RTX 3080 founder reviews have been delayed for reasons not mentioned. Also NVIDIA now has posted a launch date for the GeForce RTX 3070.  

The news got posted by Suroosh@NVIDIA and states the following: 

 

Hey everyone - two updates for you today. First, GeForce RTX 3080 Founders Edition reviews (and all related technologies and games) will be on September 16th at 6 a.m. Pacific Time. Get ready for benchmarks! Second, we’re excited to announce that the GeForce RTX 3070 will be available on October 15th at 6 a.m. Pacific Time.

The date was pushed back to give reviewers more time to finish up, some still hadn't received cards yet.

This makes the most sense.

Why delay it nvidia? Something went wrong, need a driver update becouse first benchmarks ware not as marketed? Hah. It only points out these ware true.


Do you really need to go around trolling and trying to start flame wars?

Literally no need to make up conspiracy theories.

Reviews are sub par (the 2x performance was lie) and the blind buys are stellar.
And they want to keep it that way.

No it absolutely does not make a sense to push the date because of few ppl MAYBE not receiving the samples at the correct day.

It is just strange its delayed two days before the review and after leaked lets say not accurate benchmarks.
