Nvidia to start Club GeForce and mentions GeForce GTX 1080 Ti

Nvidia to start Club GeForce and mentions GeForce GTX 1080 Ti

In a job-opening at Linked-in Nvidia mentions some information on Club GeForce, an elite loyalty program where gamers can get free game codes. Also the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti is mentioned in the description.

PCWorld reports that NVIDIA's own GeForce Experience software teases it as: "I think of GFE Rewards as more than giveaways-it's a Club with exclusive benefits for GFE users. Through the Club we can help improve our customer's gaming experience and build a GeForce/GFE community".

Also Nvidia has confirmed the upcoming GeForce GTX 1080 Ti in the form of a job posting over at LinkedIn. The card will be aimed at the enthusiast PC gamers, and the GTX 980 Ti owners will be the first in line to avail pre-orders of the product, according to the listing.

Will Nvidia unveil the new GeForce GTX 1080 Ti graphics card at the CES 2017?, scheduled in January in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.

Here is the linkedin post.

What will the club get you ? A few indie game once a year, as well as a free skin or in-game item for a AAA game once every quarter. There's also weekly giveaways of full games, beta codes, hardware, and more.

In the post, there is a tease for "980 Ti users get first spot in line for 1080 Ti pre-orders"... which is, well, rather interesting to see. The post itself is from a LinkedIn post by NVIDIA looking for a Senior Marketing Manager - GeForce, Gamer Loyalty & Advocacy.

Good news , seems that the GTX 1080Ti will be a reality , maybe nvidia knows something that we don't know yet about AMD Vega and are preparing to counter act with this gpu , let the battle for price to performance begin ... Good and exciting times ahead.

And also likely very expensive times ahead, heh although it will be nice to have something more "definitive" to upgrade to, finally. :D

Both for GPU and CPU side whether it's AMD's "Vega" or Nvidia "Pascal" on the GPU side of things or AMD's "Zen" or Intel's various "Lakes" or how to group all those together, on the CPU side. :P

Overclocked, should be around 1070 SLI performance. Hopefully Vega is faster otherwise a hybrid 1080 Ti is in order. Pascal can only max out <= 50c.

I don't understand why there was even any doubt there would be a GTX1080Ti, it's obvious one was coming. However, I also suspect within 4-5months of GTX1080Ti coming out Volta will be revealed. I'm certain Volta will be with us 2017 June latest.
