Nvidia CEO: "Radeon VII is lousy and nothing new"
Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang made some unusual harsh remarks on yesterday's announced Radeon VII from AMD. In an interview at PC World he mentions this: “The performance is lousy and there’s nothing new,” Huang said.
He finds the product underwhelming and then went on and says: “[There’s] no ray tracing, no AI. It’s 7nm with HBM memory that barely keeps up with a 2080. And if we turn on DLSS we’ll crush it. And if we turn on ray tracing we’ll crush it.”
He then added some more, “It’s a weird launch, maybe they thought of it this morning,” Huang then stated. Huang spoke before a small group of reporters and addressed a wide range of topics. It is very unusual harsh language from the CEO to talk down a product that is not yet on the market. The new Radeon XII will not be available until February 7, no objective independent reviews have been published yet.

RVII is the there just to hold ground until Navi comes and he knows that.
He must find a way to sell his crappy RTX cards until that happen so stating something like this is only thing nvidia can do.

That is just, retarded. How arrogant you can be? Does he just want attention, or wth is going on?
I´d get it, if he´d say that to her face, in private, but publicly, meeh, get a life man.

Thinking about this more.... The Vega II that AMD showed off isn't the full chip as I'm sure everyone noticed it was only using 3840 stream processors. I wonder if Nvidia is worried AMD will put out a 4096 version that is on par with 2080 Ti performance?
No indication where Navi is right now but if its a 6-9 months out AMD could have a nice lineup with Navi filling in for the 2070 performance and below.

Ahahah lol Huang, you made me want to risk buying artefacting 2080 with RT and DLSS and without HBCC. In the meantime let me just turn down resolution to get DLSS-like quality, and not turn on RT so I can get +100% fps
