Nvidia today officially announces their 8-inches (1920x1200) Shield Tablet, empowered by a Tegra SoC. It will launch in the USA first, followed in the EU a few weeks later. By releasing the 8" Shield Tablet, Nvidia really takes a nice step into Tablet gaming. Armed with a Tegra K1 SoC it will drive the tablet towards good battery life, but most of all brings PC style gaming into your hands.

We have a small preview right here.

Can games and apps be installed on the SD card or are the buyers of the 16gb version just buying a gaming paperweight?

the CPU should support 64bit based on what was said at the Google I/O this year, but right now android doesn't. But that should change very soon. and the android OS it uses is stripped down, if the original shield is anything to go by. no bloatware at all. so I would say 2gb of ram would be completely fine.

on the current shield you can copy games to the SD card, so I would of thought that you could with shield tablet.
