Asus Unveils Revolutionary ROG Strix X670E-I Motherboard. Taiwan-based technology giant, Asus, has introduced a cutting-edge ROG Strix X670E-I motherboard for AMD Ryzen 7000-series processors that promises to deliver superior expandability.

The motherboard features the top-of-the-range X670E chipset for AM5 motherboards, which has been a challenge for Mini-ITX motherboards to feature due to the dual-chip core logic. However, Asus has found a unique solution by placing the second chipset chip (Promontory 21) on an add-on PCIe card, as reported by Uniko's Hardware. This add-on card enables an additional M.2 PCIe 4.0 x4 slot and I/O controllers. The dual-chip X670E chipset and an additional Promontory 21 chip, combined with the primary X670E platform controller hub (PCH), result in a system that frees up PCIe lanes for various input/output interfaces.

The motherboard boasts two USB 4 Type-C ports with 40 Gbps throughput, DisplayPort support, a Wi-Fi 6E + Bluetooth 5.2 adapter, a 2.5GbE controller, and multiple USB ports. This motherboard is an excellent solution for users who are looking for a Mini-ITX motherboard that delivers superior expandability and features. The pricing for this motherboard has yet to be announced.
