No SLI for GeForce GTX 1060 ?
News on the web spreading like wildfire is that the upcoming GeForce GTX 1060 could possibly not be SLI compatible. Judging from leaked photos it seems clear that the card does not have SLI connectors.
Obviously it could be possible that the card doesn't need any SLI bridge and moves its data over PCI-Express much like AMD does these days. But yeah, that would be a totally different direction for Nvidia as they always have required the SLI bridger hence I do not find that plausible (over PCI-e). The photos that surfaced certainly indicate the lack of SLI connectors.
Also interesting to see is a small PCBs, that's nearly Mini ITX format. The card seems to be powered by a 6-pin power connector which kind of confirms the rumored 120 Watt TDP. Anyhow, have a peek at the photos that leaked from purepc.pl Obviously this the SLI news remains unconfirmed.

Maybe it's gonna be cheap and efficient so Nvidia doesnt want 2 cheap cards surpass the more expensive 1080 by any means necessary.

Who knows? Maybe Nvidia doesn't need/want to promote the 1060 in SLI as a single AMD high end GPU "killer".
Nvidia PR clearly identified the 1060 competition in the leaked slide: "Much faster than a RX 480".

Nvidia is being worse with those slides than AMD, lol. Seems like this 192bit/3GB card is a BEAST!

Hilbert, fight with this plague, it is "photos", not "photo's". I'm not english native speaker but mistakes on such basic things irritate me as f...

Why would 1060 differ from 1070/1080? If the others need an SLI bridge GP106 will need it too.
