New Star Citizen Video Shows Very nice Graphics

by Hilbert Hagedoorn on: 05/15/2017 08:00 AM | source: | 17 comment(s)

Chris Roberts’ Cloud Imperium Games released a brand new video of Star Citizen. The video showcases several improvements that the development teams have been implementing in the game, including iteration on ships, work on lighting and effects, environments and props (including wreckages), animation for characters, and a spectacular look on the AEGIS Reclaimer. Hosts Eric Kieron Davis and Kirk Tome share a look at player interaction and get an update from the Manchester studio.

The prep work they are doing to help them sell the company is very impressive.

He writes the same crap in every single star citizen thread. When they weren't showing new content he said it's a scam, now they are showing new content he's saying it's a bid to sell the company.

Now he'll talk about looking forward to reviews.

And honestly he could be right about all of it, but I'm sick of reading it.

Anyone following this project even with half an eye open will be very aware of the incredible dedication everyone at CIG have to put in such continuous passionate levels of detailed work.

The really slow part of the project where all the stages are so isolated reducing appearance of progress are mostly behind them now, finally leading to bigger and bigger jumps in what the game will allow us to do.

The fun part of the development ride has already started now in these months leading up to the release of Alpha 3.0 this summer where we start to see the true foundations of a playable Persistent Universe which allows maybe character trades to experience their first real gameplay.

Even the amount of work that goes into producing the Monthly Studio Report that helps us see how progress is going is pretty incredible:

The OPs linked video starts to really show off some impressive areas of the game, even LoobyLuggs is saying "nice things" now ;)
