New Mirror's Edge is Open-World Game

GameSpot is reporting that DICE's new Mirror's Edge title will be an "open-world action adventure game." The Mirror's Edge sequel is currently in development for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. According to developer DICE, it will be released "when it's ready."

Interesting, a year or so ago I said people would get sick of scripted games and then devs would trying make everything open world whether it fitted or not.

Will need to see/read more before deciding if I like this route, multiple ways of doing things to give gamers the illusion of freedom sounds better to me as it's much harder to get open world games right.
