New Mafia III High-Res Screenshots
2K Games released new Mafia III screenshots. The game releases on October 7th. 2K and Hangar 13 today announced that Mafia III, the next installment in the popular organized crime game series, will launch on October 7.
Mafia III is set in the open world of 1968 New Bordeaux, a reimagined version of New Orleans bustling with activity and complete with era-inspired cars, fashion and music. After years of combat in Vietnam, Lincoln Clay knows this truth: family isn't who you're born with, it's who you die for. Now, back home in New Bordeaux, Lincoln is set on escaping his criminal past. But when his surrogate family, the black mob, is betrayed and wiped out by the Italian Mafia, Lincoln builds a new family from the ashes of the old and blazes a path of military-grade revenge through those responsible. Intense gun fights, visceral hand-to-hand combat, white-knuckle driving, hard choices and street smarts will all be required to survive the mean streets of New Bordeaux. But with the right crew, it's possible to make it to the top of the city's underworld.
Check the screenshots, they look pretty good.

Yes I know what you mean, but I somehow had the impression it was different with the last screenshots we got, but my memory might betray me (or the low res of the screenshots, didn't cross check tbh).

I found the last game a little meh compared to the original, probably because of the less intriguing characters and a weaker story. All the pretty graphics didn't make it a better game. I hope they can somehow capture the magic of the original Mafia. (a game I'd still recommend, even 14 years later)
I'm totally digging the time frame they chose for #3. We don't get many games set in that era.

2K should sell Mafia 2 on Steam again.... so people can buy it.... kind of a good idea seeing as 3 is coming out this year.
:T
Yeah, but they had trouble with some copyrighted tracks.
You know old story R* & GTA San Andreas tracks.
The pictures are from XboxOne gameplay,as usual consoles 1st.

It's like reflections are missing making the environment dead/flat with no detail.
Makes me think about enb mods to fix that issue should it remain!
I remember trying several different ones for GTA 4 on the PC. Whilst graphics were great, they looked lifeless with no shine or reflections especially at night.
Surely you must of experimented with several mods including the famous enb mods which brought the game to life?
