New iPhone with Screen Protector costs around $999

And that's according to the The New York Times. The newspaper repors the price level based on sources that have learned about the device, but can not say anything officially.

Many eyes are now on Apple’s 10th anniversary event for the iPhone, which is expected to be held next month. There, Apple is set to introduce major upgrades for the next iPhones. Chief among the changes for the new iPhones: refreshed versions, including a premium model priced at around $999, according to people briefed on the product, who asked to remain anonymous because they were not authorized to speak publicly, reports new york times.

Apple made room for a bigger screen on that model by reducing the size of the bezel — or the forehead and the chin — on the face of the device. Other new features include facial recognition for unlocking the device, along with the ability to charge it with magnetic induction, the people said.

If there was ever a case where'd you price your premium product for $1000 instead of $999, this would be it.

I hope it's just premium. I'd rather buy just the device for $699 and attach screen protection and case myself.

They need to add a note - " 40% worth of branding is included into the cost ".

Isn't it enough to say it's Apple? The meaning is the same.
