New 32-inch 328E8QJAB5 Philips LCD Display
Philips introduced a new 32-inch curved VA based monitor that gets a wide range of colors. The Philips 328E8QJAB5 also offers a wide viewing angle and Ultra Wide Color technology. The Full HD screen will be available at the end of May with a price of 330 euros.
The display offers an 1800R curvature to wrap the user’s line of sight. It has a size of 32 inches and Full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The format used is 16: 9 and the panel type is VA.
It also includes the latest Ultra Wide Color technology, which offers a wide color range of 103% of the NTSC range and 126% of sRGB. It also includes the Adaptive Sync technology, with which we avoid effects like stuttering or tearing in images with fast movements.
MMD, the leading technology company and brand license partner for Philips monitors, announces a new 32-inch curved display in its E Line for home users that brings a fantastic colour and curved-viewing experience to the living space. Featuring wide viewing angles and Full HD resolution to complement its Ultra Wide-Color technology, this new display enriches the already impressive Philips monitors curved line-up and further testifies to MMD’s commitment to offering a versatile and comprehensive portfolio within the curved display segment.
In the home, displays are expected to perform a variety of tasks. At 32 inches, the new 328E8QJAB5 is large enough to give viewers a sense of space with whatever activity they are performing. The curvature ensures the screen wraps gently around the user’s line of vision, which can help concentration by promoting greater focus on the task at hand – all the more important in busy home environments.
The latest display is configured to give users great viewing quality for a range of activities – anything from routine tasks like mailing friends or checking timelines on social media, to activities where viewing quality makes a huge difference, such as watching a favourite series on the web, or touching up videos before posting them online. With a Full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, 16:9 format and advanced vertical alignment (VA) technology, users will enjoy a sharp picture with every activity. The latest Ultra Wide-Color technology enables the 32-inch display to offer an expansive colour gamut of 103% of the NTSC gamut and 126% of sRGB colour space (CIE 1931), which notches up the quality and accuracy of colour reproduction and creates an even more lifelike viewing experience. With the innovative Adaptive Sync technology, the display is fine-tuned for fast action and provides super-smooth viewing with no stuttering, tearing or motion blur.
Explaining the display’s positioning, Artem Khomenko, Product Manager Philips monitors Europe at MMD, says: “The E Line monitors are designed to deliver viewing performance that is the right fit for the home. This new 32-inch curved model is the latest in a stream of innovative curved displays we’re bringing to market this year. The 328E8QJAB5 has been developed to give users versatile performance for the many activities that are part of today’s digital lifestyle. Users of course also enjoy the reassurance of an established brand that can provide convincing economics by combining great quality and service at a highly affordable price point.”
E for Elegance
In terms of looks, the latest 32-inch curved display certainly lives up to the “E for Elegance” signature of the line’s name. The eye-catching screen curvature is complemented by the curved stand, and the glossy black and gunmetal finish are perfect for the understated chic of the design, making this display a stylish addition to the décor of any living space.
Smart modes for even smarter viewing
With a display like this, there’s no “one-size-fits-all” approach to settings. Like other models in the E Line, the 328E8QJAB5 features an impressive choice of smart technologies with which visuals can be fine-tuned to the task at hand. SmartContrast analyses the screen content and automatically adjusts colours and backlight intensity to enhance the viewing experience. When playing games, users will appreciate the SmartImage Game mode, with its choice of settings to optimise dark themes, response times and highlighting. The incorporated Flicker-free technology is developed to minimise potential eye fatigue with a solution that regulates brightness and reduces flicker for more comfortable viewing.
The display also takes care of sound: it features two integrated stereo speakers for crisp audio reproduction.
The new Philips 328E8QJAB5 E Line display, with an RRP of £279, will be available in May 2017.
