Netgear unveiled its latest innovation, the Nighthawk A8000 - the first Wi-Fi 6E compatible tri-band USB wireless LAN slave device. This advanced device features three bands including the 2.4 GHz (574 Mbps), 5 GHz (1,201 Mbps), and 6 GHz (1,201 Mbps) bands.

To maximize signal strength, it comes with a stand and extension cable, and the antenna on the main unit is adjustable. With the Nighthawk A8000, users can now experience faster and more reliable internet connections, especially in areas where the traditional 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands are overcrowded. The device also boasts improved security through the implementation of WPA3.

The Nighthawk A8000 is designed with a USB 3.0 interface, and its body size is 93 x 31.4 x 14.45mm with a weight of 28g. The stand measures 63.14 x 44.67 x 35.19mm and weighs 90g. The device is compatible with Windows 11/10, although the 6 GHz band is only supported by Windows 11.  Starting March 17, 2023, interested customers can pre-order the Nighthawk A8000 at the Netgear store, and sales will officially begin on March 24. The device is priced at $129 USD.
