Netgear Nighthawk RAXE500 - Tri-Band Wi-Fi 6E Router

The cutting-edge router operates within the 6 GHz band, offering a remarkable speed of up to 4,804 Mbps, along with the 5 GHz band at the same speed, and the 2.4 GHz band at 1,147 Mbps.

Netgear introduces the state-of-the-art Nighthawk RAXE500, a Wi-Fi 6E router pushing the limits of high-speed data communication. This tri-band router is designed to cater to the high-capacity data requirements of online gaming, 4K/8K video streaming, and the emerging technologies of VR and Metaverse applications.

With an innovative design featuring eight wing-shaped antennas, the Nighthawk RAXE500 maximizes coverage, spanning an impressive area of up to 325 square meters. The antennas are seamlessly integrated into the router's wings, guaranteeing optimal performance without user interference.

The router boasts a 1.8 GHz quad-core CPU and a comprehensive interface. This includes a 2.5 Gigabit WAN/LAN port, a Gigabit WAN port, four Gigabit LAN ports, and two USB 3.0 ports. The Nighthawk RAXE500 is capable of supporting up to 60 devices simultaneously and has a lightweight design, weighing just 1.45 kg.

Starting from April 28, the Nighthawk RAXE500 will be available for purchase at an expected market price of $569 USD, exclusive of VAT. As an additional offering, Netgear will also launch a bundled set of the Nighthawk A8000, a USB-connected Wi-Fi 6E wireless LAN accessory.

That's an awful lot of money for a single 2.5Gbps port.

Having experience with Netgear Firmware, my next router will NOT be Netgear.

I'm running Xwrt-Vortex on my R7000, which atleast makes it usable.
