Netgear has released another satellite RBS850 SKU for tri-band mesh Wi-Fi system based on the Orbi WiFi 6 mesh system. Basically a unit you can add into the mesh.

It is compatible with the 5 GHz band x2 (maximum 2,402 Mbps each) and 2.4 GHz band x1 (maximum 1,147 Mbps) tri-band. The effective range of the network can be expanded by 175㎡ by adding one satellite. Also, of the three frequency bands, one of the 5 GHz band is used exclusively for communication between Orbi and the other is used for the user's device connection, so delay is added even when multiple satellites are added or many devices are connected. It is possible to maintain high-speed communication.

It has 8 built-in antennas, and a high-output amplifier is also standard equipment. The processor has a quad-core of 2.2GHz, the interface is equipped with gigabit LAN x4, and supports functions such as MU-MIMO and beamforming.

The main body size is 190mm in width, 254mm in height, 71mm in thickness and 1,297g in weight. The product warranty is three years, and the recommended number of connected satellites is three per router.
