Netflix Signs John Wick Writers to make Splinter Cell TV Series
One very popular PC games series was, of course, Splinter Cell, and as it turns out, the franchise will be brought towards a TV series on Netflix.
Netflix and Ubisoft teamed with Derek Kolstad (Writer behind the John Wick movies) to bring this project to life, which will be an animated series. Kolstad will be the writer and executive producer. There's a catch though, it'll be an animated series based on at least 2 seasons and 16 episodes. The original game follows former Navy SEAL Sam Fisher, recruited by the NSA to work in the Echelon Third Division. Splinter Cell has been a success since its beginning.

Holy cow talk about resurrecting a project long been in development hell.. this thing had been initially talked about long over ten years ago. Can't recall which studio had it at the time. Around the time Pandora Tomorrow was released or just after the game possibly between it and Chaos Theory.
I WOULD LOVE THIS IF HE WAS IN IT but possibly as like a mentoring character due to his age. Although he was always good at throwing his voice around so he could possibly play sam fisher who knows...

Michael Ironside has to be in this somewhere or it's not worth it.

Maybe you should visit anime threads in pub. Many are much deeper than popular high budget movies. And some are on completely different level.
Or you can just start with classics like:
Perfect Blue, Girl who Leapt through Time, 5 Centimeters per Second, Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind, Mononoke Hime, The Place Promised in Our Early Days, ...
Then you can check few series:
Moribito: Guardian of the Spirit, Monster, Zetsuen no Tempest, Serial Experiments Lain, Wolf's Rain, Lunar Legend Tsukihime, Gungrave, Ergo Proxy, ...
None will provide you with cheap thrill. But will widen your perspective and make you think.
(And most of them require quite some mental stamina and/or strong heart.)
Huge fan of the series, I stopped reading after animated, actually got excited there for a minute. Was hoping for a possible Movie or regualr show even what the hell am I going to do watch cartoons at 43 ?

Very well put. There are many ways this series could be approached.
