NEC Updates MultiSync EA295WMi Monitor
NEC today announced the availability of the 29" EA295WMi ultrawide desktop display. The 29" MultiSync EA295WMi ultrawide desktop display features an IPS pane.
"The MultiSync EA295WMi updates the connectivity of the EA294WMi, one of our most popular ultrawide desktop displays," said Art Marshall, Senior Product Manager for Desktop Displays at NEC Display Solutions. "In addition, new features have been added to provide greater performance in a wider variety of applications."

The EA295WMi-BK will be available in early November at a minimum advertised price of $649. It will also be available as a bundle with NEC's award-winning SpectraViewII color calibration software and sensors. The bundle's model number will be EA295WMi-BK-SV and will carry a minimum advertised price of $799.

The "6ms Typical" respons time, that likely isnt the average responstime, it dosnt say exactly how they messure it. Anyway, the average responstime on gaming monitors can easily be 10-25ms, and that does show. I can clearly see responstime being to slow on my MG279Q 4ms 144hz monitor, just by moving the cursor over the screen. Its not a big problem, but it is definitely an area where there is still room for improvement.
So yes a monitor like this one, rated at 6ms is more than likely to have noticable respons time "lag" like all other LCD monitors out there - its normal with current displays.

So it has a 14 bit LUT, supports 10 bit output, but isn't HDR compliant because it isn't bright enough? What is the measurement Candela per meter squared anyway? I looked up what it is in Lux, it's 1:1 at a distance of 1 meter.
Anyway, what's the point of this monitor, especially at that price? What's the target demographic supposed to be?
