Both support tri-band Wi-Fi, which allows simultaneous use of three frequency bands: 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, and 6 GHz. Mesh relay function that expands the communication area by linking the main unit and multiple repeaters.

NEC announced the wireless LAN routers "Aterm WX11000T12" and "Aterm WX7800T8" that support Wi-Fi 6E on September 5, 2022.  Equipped with a mesh relay capability that connects the main unit and many repeaters to widen the connection area. Furthermore, consistent connection may be achieved by employing the 6 GHz band, which provides a broad bandwidth for communication between the base unit and the repeater and is less busy.

The "Aterm WX11000T12" is a premium model with 12 streams (6GHz/4 streams, 5GHz/4 streams, 2.4GHz/4 streams). The CPU is four core at 2.2 GHz, the interface is 10 gigabit WAN x 1, 10 gigabit LAN x 1, gigabit x 3, and the exterior dimensions are 90 mm wide, 257 mm deep, and 237 mm high.

The "Aterm WX7800T8" is a lower-end model with 8 streams (6GHz/2 streams, 5GHz/4 streams, and 2.4GHz/2 streams). The CPU is a 1 GHz dual-core processor, the interface is Gigabit WAN x 1, Gigabit LAN x 4, and the exterior dimensions are 76 mm wide, 213.5 mm deep, and 196.5 mm tall.
