Ncore V1 Naked Cooling Waterblock hits Kickstarter

Ncore V1 Naked Cooling Waterblock hits Kickstarter

Alright, if CPU delidding isn't your thing, you might want to look the other way. But if interested, at the very least check out the Ncore V1 Naked Die Cooling Waterblock which just hit kickstarter.

The Ncore is a waterblock designed for Naked Die Cooling with integrated IHS mounting by a guy called Arek Tobiszewski, the small business owner of NUDEcnc. It's a different and tiny water-block alright. So let me repeat that again, Ncore features an integrated IHS, unique “in socket” mounting and offers adjustable water flow. Ncore V1D can be installed on a delidded and non- delidded CPUs, as it includes an installation bracket, which is also a delidder.  Watch the demonstration video to see what I just meant there, btw you gotta love that eastern European accent voiceover of his girlfriend :)

Addition of a frame to Ncore V1 (Ncore V1D) provides some extra features:

  • Delidder- to delid CPU
  • Mounting bracket which allows to install Ncore in standard fashion, with the IHS.
  • Floating fixture – to evenly distribute stresses
  • Additional support for the socket for non-believers

You have to admit, that's looking pretty sweet? It is interesting to know that the Ncore V1D kit will also allow the CPU socket clamp to double up as a delidding tool, a very handy delidder as well from the looks of it:

It will be interesting to see how well the block actually performs though. Ncore has set a £10,000 (~12K in Euros) target that they want to reach within the next 30 days (3 days have past already). With that money, he can invest in better CNC equipment. If you are interested in the opportunity to, you can join in for an early bird pledge starting from £69, roughly 80 bucks or 90 USD. If all goes right, product would be ready for shipment during August 2018.

You can back NUDE cnc here.

Ready to pledge aswell if i see temps.

He could send you a prototype to make a review (with temps!) VS air/water/delidded(Liquid metal) CPU cooling solutions.

THAT could add a lot of backers to his kickstarter if temps are good.

He said he sent a prototype to 4 sites to have independent review but i only found the one from HardOCP and there is NO temps review:
