Mushkin offers PILOT-E series NVMe M.2 SSD at up to 3,500MB/sec

Mainstream SSDs are getting faster and faster. Mushkin announced the NVMe M.2 SSD "PILOT-E" series, which supports high-speed data transfer of up to 3,500 MB/sec .

The M2 unit is based on a Silicon Motion "SM2262EN" controller that supports 8 NAND channels. The bus interface is PCI-Express3.0 (x4) connection and the form factor is M.2 2280. The capacity is 500GB, 1TB, and 2TB, for a total of three models. NAND flash is 3D TLC, transfer rate is 500MB model for sequential read 3,500MB / sec, write 2,300MB / sec, random read 344,400IOPS, write 343,000IOPS, write endurance 350TB, 1TB model is 3,500MB / sec for each , 3,000 MB / sec, 331,000 IOPS, 353,000 IOPS, 650 TB, 2 TB models are 3,500 MB / sec, 3,100 MB / sec, 339,000 IOPS, 358,000 IOPS, 1,300 TB.

Supported functions include LDPC ECC, end-to-end protection, global wear leveling, SLC cache, static data refresh, HMB, AES256bit encryption, etc. The body size is 22mm wide, 80mm long, 3.8mm thick and weighs 7g. MTBF is 1.5 million hours and the product warranty is 3 years. Pricing seems to be off though, 200 EUR for 1TB and 309 for the 2TB model.

SX8200 Pro already has these speeds for quite some time, it has the same controller from SMI.
Much cheaper than Mushkin too.
