We've talked about this a couple of times already, MSI entering the SSD business that is. But the moment is here, as they are announcing a range of PCIe Gen 3.0 and 4.0 SSDs.
MSI is naming their products the Spatium series of nvme SSDs, as in space (spatium is space in Latin ). In total you'll spot five different m.2 NVMe SSDs ranging from 256 GB towards 2 TB of storage space.
The flagship of MSI's Spatium series is the M480. The pcie 4.0 nvme 1.4 SSD of 500, 1000 or 2000 GB has a maximum read speed of 7000 MB/s and a write speed of up to 6850 MB/s. The entry-level model is the M370 with pcie 3.0 nvme 1.3 storage, available in 256, 500, 1000 and 2000 GB configurations. MSI makes a clear distinction between the new SSDs, since the M370 and M371 still work with the PCI Express 3.0 interface.
The product page shows that MSI promises a 5-year warranty for all SSDs, a final sales page or prices are not yet listed.
