MSI has recently introduced a new GeForce RTX 3060 Ti Super 3X 8GD6X graphics card, extending its support for the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti series. Offered in both standard and factory-overclocked variants, this card is targeted at the Chinese market.

Contrary to what the name might imply, the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti Super 3X 8GD6X is essentially a revamped version of the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti GDDR6X. Last year, Nvidia upgraded the original GeForce RTX 3060 Ti with GDDR6X memory, resulting in a minor performance boost. Both iterations of the card are currently available, but the GDDR6X version is more widely accessible.

Featuring MSI's renowned Suprim cooler with RGB lighting and a triple-fan cooling system, the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti Super 3X 8GD6X diverges from the company's previous tradition of reserving the Suprim series for high-end models exclusively. The standard model offers a 5.4% higher boost clock, while the overclocked version can achieve 1,845 MHz, a 10.8% increase compared to the reference GeForce RTX 3060 Ti. However, the factory overclock isn't particularly noteworthy, especially since the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti Gaming X Trio 8GD6X already matches the overclocked version's boost clock speed.

The new GeForce RTX 3060 Ti Super 3X 8GD6X is longer and thicker than its Gaming X Trio 8GD6X counterpart due to the larger Suprim cooler. The card still needs two 8-pin PCIe power connectors and a minimum recommended power supply of 600W. MSI has not yet revealed pricing or availability details for the graphics card.
