"Wtf is happening to Intel.."

They have been drinking too much Wine Lake.

Are they calling Ice Lake 11th Gen then because of the 10nm and new architecture with increased IPC?

Both ice lake 10nm and comet lake 14nm are marketed as 10gen, can you believe that? Thats on purpose just to confuse people. What a mess.

When too many +++ get embarrassing for them they go to generations. To be honest even all the lakes are getting rather confusing.

Bring back Conroe !

You can tell the marketing bunch are papering over the lack of stuff from the engineering bunch curently.

Intel on 7nm will be fine, just 2 years late.

And I am neither AMD or Intel orientated, I am non binary :D

They are not moving fully to 10nm, reason why we will see 10nm in some and 14nm in others, atm their process in 10nm is not netting fast enough clocks, so we will see more 14nm on higher end cpu on laptops, just as we will see on desktops. My guess is until we see 10nm+ it wont enter high end desktops or mobile, and the offerings will remain on 14nm++
